Members of the The Dunham School’s National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are lightening loads with Laundry Love,
their annual spring service project.
Through Laundry Love, the students in grades
6-8 supply small storage bags of powdered detergent to those who do not have access to laundry detergent or a laundromat.
The Laundry Love project was made possible by student donations from Middle School Fun NIght on February 3. Using those donations, the NJHS purchased powdered detergent and plastic storage bags. NJHS members worked together, scooping detergent into plastic bags.
They delivered 263 completed bags to Volunteers of America-Greater Baton Rouge to distribute to those in need.
